Yes.

It's possible to IMPORT the stock table into mysql using any of a variety of methods.

It's probably possible to export from mysql into POS, as well.

What is not possible is having POS use mysql as a stock table while running

I have software.... somewhere, that disables task manager from running. it's for stuff like this. I've worked in the past on desktop security applications. Ideally, POS should be very difficult to kill, and the utilities to do so should be nearly inaccessible. I'll see what i can dig up, as this is ...

If it's windows 2000 or XP, you can also check the system uptime to prove that no power outage took place. Go to a command prompt window and type "systeminfo" to find it.

I think it's an unrealistic demand, asking for domains to be free... we have enough namespace pollution as it is, and it isn't free to run DNS for your domain, why should the domain then be free?

And is $5-$10 a YEAR really that bad? :P That's 3 cents a day, fellas...

I found a way to maybe re-allow guest access, it would require you to select from a drop down list to verify you are a person :P

Most of the spam bots today choke on this, but should be easy enough for a genuine human being...

I'll see when I can implement this, next week is brutal...

Simple... well maybe. It depends on how good their API is, and I haven't seen it yet.

Nothing with USB is ever as simple as it was with serial. I'm gonna see what I can dig up on DOS usb cause it might be nice if it's not a huge project to build a DOS based driver for this.

Peachey, except that forum would get spammed to death...

The spam bots search automatically for open forums.

I'm looking at a way around this :D

Ok, real simple... who's interested? I'd like to go back with them with some level of understanding on how much interest we have. Remember, this is a potential customer display option for only $69!, and it's got very low space, and power requirements. Using it would almost certainly require a window...

I've spoken with the people who make this device, and I'm confident it could be made to work with POS. I should know soon how much effort it would be.

Get back to ya! :)

Hey dale, think you can add the code for reading/ adding parked sales to that page?

I'm interested in looking at it and hopefully, maybe doing something with it.

Updated again, and lsunw, yeah, it's got new features over the VB/windows version of aprint. This version supports printer, font, and size selection. it DOES NOT support multiple printers, however. It's also faster. This is a beta release, the final should be available shortly as long as no serious ...

aprint and Jon is alive :p

Contrary to popular belief, I have not died or enlisted in the army :p

As proof, here is a small tidbit, sorry it's taken so long but things have been downright crazy lately.

Please check this so I can fix.

As for the cash drawer thing... the problem is not that the code is not there, it's that reading it breaks the print model. Not to mention, aprint really doesn't care if the drawer is open since it doesn't have any way of telling POS if the drawer is open. This should, if needed, be read directly fr...
