Problem in this case is,
Cola has GST
Deposit doesn't have GST
Enviromental Charge has GST
If we include the deposit and enviro, we over-charge the TAX.

Adding Deposit and Environmental charges
I don't only want it on the screen, Here's an example: You scan a can of cola. The can of cola is a 355ml can Because it's a can < 500ml it requires the addition of 10 cents deposit, and 5 cents environmental fee. What I'm hoping the POS program can someday to is, in the cola stock item, you could i...

Deposit & Environmental Charges
I searched and found this thread. In Canada now, we have separate deposit and environmental charges on drinks. Different deposits and different environmental charges depending on glass or plastic, and volume of drink. One has tax and the other doesn't. If there were some way to have a column in the ...

Resetting totals for year end
Is there a way that I can reset all the sales totals without losing all the inventory items? I've been printing the D report (Total by Category) and using it to keep track of my daily totals. Now at the end of the year, I can see how much was sold in each category. With the new year approaching I'd ...

Sorry Dale.
Dale, Love the program, could afford a till and am very happy I found your software. I am running POS on a networked DOS only 486 machine with a keyboard based bar code scanner and a serial printer, which fires my cash drawer. You are absolutely correct, it's a no-win situation. Some day when you ju...

Customer Support
Andrew, Doesn't sound like you've worked much with typical users and computers though. I was the Internet manager for the cable company where we had 2000 clients. I would get phone calls day after day from the same handful of users that couldn't remember how to open their email. If you're technicall...

It's really not a big deal
Andrew, You're absolutely right, it's not a big deal. I've been in the customer service business for over 11 years now though and have found that usually, it's the little things that really make a difference between something functional, and something memorable in a positive way. A little bit can go...

Wording confuses the newbie
We are using DHPOS 6.32b and have receipts set to ask, and it does at the end of the sale. Just wanted to voice the concern of 2 of my workers. They only work occasionally, and when they do seem to be stuck on the fact that after you press +, Item 3 says "Print receipt, complete sale" The stumbling ...

Multiples seem to be ok
I seem to be experiencing the same. If you do multiple quantities, it seems to be ok, just certain single items are the problem.
So where do we go from here?
