I'm sure this was asked before, but I was unable to find a suitable thread. I work at a community theatre and I want to implement a POS system, as well as an online ticketing system. I love this software, and would love to put it to better use than sitting on my training computer for a school coffee...

so basically, you can just set up a server, and every cash register can use the same folder... right?

like say the path to the global file is \\servername\gpos\pos.exe

so every register can point to that, and it will work fine... right?

haven't had the chance to network Cafe Bordeaux and The Perk Stop yet...

if you don't want to run wine, there's a package in Ubuntu (Gutsy Gibbon) called dosemu

it pretty much emulates DOS exactly... much easier than wine.

use the cd command to change to the place you stored Cash Register
