Combining lines
lemon535, As long as you are discussing the POS program you ahould make your posts in the main forum. I am not sure that everyone makes it to this forum. The problem with your suggestion is that if the item you are ringing up and the previous ringup of the same item are widely separated (the next li...

Votes for
Only actual votes for count. Plus no one wants this enough to post a follow-up post and more important no one has come to chat to discuss this feature, not even you.
So people may want this but not enough to do anything.

Rollerball,
I have fixed that and uploaded it.
So far your feature only has 4 votes, hardly he hoards of folks you will need. And do you realize even if your feature makes the cut how many other new features are ahead of it?

New POS version 6.39c released on 7-30-06
Bug fix. In version 6.39b if if you used "included" tax on a printed receipt on each line the price would have the tax added. This did not affect the total price for the sale. The only new feature is the ability to park up to 255 sales instead of the old maximum of 75 sales. WARNING! if you currentl...

Villagers
Well that is true. If you can get the local villigers to storm my house with pitchforks and firebrands to ask for this feature that will positively get my attention. However there will have to be a LOT of them.

Bad idea
Rollerball, Well I see I cannot convince you what a horrible idea this is and in keeping with my policy of no longer saving users from themselves I will add this to the "think about it" pile. Sometime in the far distant future, when I have added all the features that are actually useful, and I haved...

Features
Rollerball,
All features that appear in previous versions will still be in later versions unless I announce that they have been changed.
So groups, changing the column order in the sales screen, and sales by time are all in version 6.39b

Cost
RollerBall, Still the same deal, you are trusting your receiving clerk to enter the cost. As you pointed out the cost for this particular item may be a one time promotion. Does he lower the cost now even though the cost will be back to normal next time? There may be math involved. One of my supplier...

Nope
Well that might work for a store where the manager / owner is the person who receives the merchandise shipments. However if you are a larger operation do you want management to determine the prices for the items you sell in your store or the receiving clerk?

Parking returns
lemon535, I see you have picked an out of the way spot to post your note. Don't want to share my magnificent reply with anyone else? :) Yep, you can't park returns. This is because with a return, since you are giving money to the customer, you do not have to worry about the customer actually attempt...

Just because
Peewee3ie, There is an obsure reason why the windows that take the check information are centered on the screen. A reason so obsure that at the moment I have no idea what it is. However a possibility is that the window that takes the location from which the check was issued goes completely accross t...

Rollerball,
The program does not keep track of when any stock item was sold.
