What I would do is get ahold of a multimeter and set it to ohms (the 1k scale shoud do (I think) if not you can step it up to a higher scale). Then get a cord that plugs into the jack with all of the wires comming out of it and systematicly test the resistance accross different pairs of wires. One w...

What kind of drawer is it. Most use either 12 or 24vdc to open them on certan pins of that connector. One way would be to see if you can find a manual or pinout online or just take the cover off and trace the wires to the solinoid and see if it says what voltage to use.

Why not just set up the customer info option to take the information at the beginning of a sale instead of at the end. Then all you will have to do is go into the sales screen and type in what ever you use to track them and it will come up.

Works perfictly

First off I hope this makes sence and is realitivly spelled correctly as I'm half asleep. But I've done it a million times, just give each person a stock number in the table and use it when you ring people up. At the end of the day just print a total by stock number report and you know who owned wha...

I think its a good feature for if someone only wants a rough idea of profit for quick personal reference, or less picky things like fundraisers for a "right away" kind of figure to be confirmed latter.

IDEA !

As a solution to the problem of the ever growing file that is going to eat your computer I would suggest making two files in your favorite text editor. Make one titled pos_next.dat and inside it type filedel.bat and save it making sure it gets saved as a .dat file not a .txt like the program probabl...

My method around this is balancing the till using the employee sales report. Since more then one person uses the register in a day the closing screen and printout is in effect useless to the closer as a form of cheating. Of course this does require keeping more cash on hand and having a place people...

I think what cashier is looking for is somthing that would control and pull the pumps. ie. aprove starts, stop them, automaticly take the total off them and reset them when the customer pays. If this is the case, cashier, I wouldnt hold my breath because Dale has enough chananges trying to interface...

As someone with alot of recent cashier experience I can say that having a password to void a single line would be a HUGE hindrance, especially because when you are voiding a single line it’s because you either double scanned an item or because the customer read a sign wrong and no longer wants the i...

I like it

I kind of like the idea of making a jornal entery of closeing. But I would really like to see it on things like the file maintence, and reports menus, or at least when you go into an item in either menu. This way even if someone figures out your password you still can see if they got into somting th...

POS Cashroom

I just finished a my latest version of POS Cashroom and could use some beta testers. This program keeps track of how much cash, checks, and credit recipts are in each register (up to ten) from a central computer, and can beep at you if you get too little or too much cash in a register. It can also k...

As Dale said, make shure that your receipts say somthing to the effect of "VOID" or "NOT A VALID RECEIPT!" on the header or footer. Also I would change the register name to somthing to the effect of "TRAINING" or "OUT OF SERVICE" this way it makes it impossible for someone to mistake the training fi...
