Windows?

Hi there,

I think the Samsung unit you mention is the Epson TM-88II lookalike? You could try the Epson cutter codes.

It sounds like you may have the Windows drivers installed for the unit?

DH-POS works on Pocket PC

Hi folks, Just tried PocketDOS on my HP iPaq 2210 (Intel 400Mhz,PocketPC 2003) It runs at a decent speed too! PocketDOS can reroute data to Serial only (even bluetooth data etc) You could actually beam data to a receiept printer. Only drawback is that you need to use unit in landscape mode and the c...

aww

The unfortunate thing is postage for me! I could send you all kinds of hardware to develop POS with, but it'll cost a fortune to ship!

However, I enjoy playing with POS myself.... so its not a problem ;)

Still testing!

Well i'm still trying various things today! I've loaded Win98 back on the till, and I'm using the latest Flash version of the program. If I run DH-POS full screen it minimises itself after a few seconds, along with the cust display program! So i've been using POS in a window. It seems that if I load...

I'm having nightmares

I'm having problems with it still :( 1) Got the currency working 2) I'm having problems trying to get it to work with Windows 2000 (I had 98 loaded before), seems that if you put DH-POS into full screen mode the other screen goes blank. 3) The auto minimise feature does what the hell it likes, and i...

Or

The Epson TM-H5000 is a Hybrid printer, it has a T88II thermal printer, and a U295 slip printer. The slip printer will always state that it is out of paper, until a slip is inserted - I wonder if this is what is causing your error? Is this a serial or parallel unit? Parallel has two clips on either ...

Alan

I have no idea how OPOS works!

It seems I need to open up the IEE Demo program, open the linedisplay then close it for it to work!

So its:
1) IEE Demo
2) POLE2
3) POS

Ok it works!

I've tested it and both versions work - its a fantastic idea, and it is used in retail.

Snags though:

1) It comes up with a dollar sign - any chance of no currency sign?

2) I can't get it to display on the 2nd monitor! It defaults to the primary monitor and won't budge!

My pole is an IEE device. I installed Epson OPOS and setup the unit from the IEE port setup program.

Voila it works with POS!

Must try

I'll need to find some time to play with my pole display and this screen idea.

I noticed recently that IBM have a POS system which has an colour LCD customer display mounted on the rear which display special offers and the total at the bottom. It behaves like a screensaver.

Hmm

Sounds like the cash drawer off a Fujitsu Teampos or Atrium. We fix these old things at work, but alas I sealed up the test rig with hotmelt glue!

Usually a cash drawer uses 4x cables, 2x for 24V + & - , 2x for the open/closed sensor.

for dual display...

Quick reminder that you need Windows 98 and above for dual display support (I know that some cards can support it under NT4 as well)

It seems that the most common cheap 2nd video card is the S3Trio64V+ PCI, Win98 has drivers for this card built in.
