Here's a thought......I borrow this from our good friends at the Goodwill. Issue a "credit memo".....works like this. Let's say I bring back a <insert item here>. You ring up the refund through your normal method and cash the order out. Take my reciept and stamp/write "Credit Memo" across it. Then y...

Yes, this could very well simplify your life. If nothing else it would be an automated system for creating reciepts. The only quirk could come in how closely you enter your data into the accounting books. For the simpliest method (my personal choice for most things in life), set up DHPOS with the in...

Well, the "school cheating material" could have something to do with the "Harris Test" and other teacher oriented programs. Maybe?

Another way around it: Have two item codes. One for the pack of 20, the other for single sheets. So.... if a customer wants to buy the pack, you ring up ####1: "20pc bond paper" 1 x 9.25 Or.... if a customer wants to buy a sheet, or several sheets, you ring up ####: "1pc bond paper" ? x 0.50 Then to...

Dale, How much code space are we talking? It would be a nifty addition, and customers like seeing the total saved on a transaction. Infact the company I work for requires that the cashiers read off the amount saved at the end of a transacton to the customer. Goes something like this...."Thanks for s...

Well, it could....after all most pole displays are 20 colums by 2 lines, and these are 20 colums by 4 lines.....so how exactly are they 'too small'? If anything they're too big. As far as the USB thing goes, it maybe more involved with the drivers. They seem to have the ability to display just about...

Gift Cards

Well, Even though DHPOS doesn't yet support the gift card feature, I do have a thought for you. Many credit/debit processesors<sp?> offer a gift card service. Where you buy the cards (even custom designed) and just use your existing equipment to process them. That way you can sell the gift card here...

Offer both? One file for those who will be using a network/computer that's already connected to the internet, or have jump/flash/etc drives that can handle files larger than 1.44mb. Just to make life easy. Also offer the two file option, for those who will be transfering this to a disk to then trans...

Just a side note...

That sounds like an extreemly helpful program. However editing ones journals is not recomended. I'm sure the tax guys would agree. Otherwise it sounds like a great addon to DHPOS, would it be possible (perhaps with a bit of coaching from Dale's knowlage of programing) to change the required filename...

I think what "prefer not to say" is after is more along the lines of a ticketing system for use in an airport. Which upon mild research, I discovered that indeed it is the airline that provides and operates the software, not the airport. It does have a POS aspect to it, only in that it records the c...

Andrew,

I guess i never really paid attention to the Announcements/Stickies after the forum conversion. I wasn't complaining, just curious.
