Dale did follow up on this and suggested that credit be split into two tenders (Credit / Debit). I believe it was a possibility for version 5.0 (POSNet). Here is the original thread from the archive: http://return.no-ip.org/n54/index4/1067185028.html <HR> Note: the Forum Archive can now be searched ...

Umm, unzipped - I'm not so sure, my unzipped and running POS folder totals 41 MB.

Best way to check would be to unzip onto a computer and check the size of the POS folder straight after unzipping.

As long as the terminal has the means for you to put DHPOS onto floppy disk and copy it onto the terminal's hard drive and run it - I don't see why not. However, other factors come into play such as what kind of printer/connection, keyboard etc come with this terminal. DHPOS is designed for running ...

You might find an open source project at http://www.sourceforge.net

Touch screen suport won't be in DHPOS anytime soon, and due to the fact that if DHPOS became open source - people would be able to find out how passwords and certain files are saved and alter/use this to their advantage.

The pole display wasn't programmed by DHPOS - Alan had to write his own software or something to send that static message to the pole display.

Hi Melvyn, You can export the customer data (including total amount of sales , returns etc) into a data file, but it appears you cannot do the same with sales history. To export customer data: - Open POSCONFG, goto Customer Info and press [F4] to access the database - Press [3] for Export Files. - S...

Barry,

Dale and I discussed it in chat the other night and think that it would be best if after a return or a void, you are simply returned to the main menu.

What do we think?

Nifty, however not for DHPOS I wouldn't think. But the pile of cash drawers might prove useful.

Ad is a bit vague on the drawers.

It is common for DOS programs to function incorrectly or not at all on ME/XP due to the fact that DOS is no longer "real" in those OS'es. I would suggest if using this in a business situation that you don't use ME or XP, and go for something more simple such as 98/SE, 95 or even 3.1 or just plain ol...

Online POS testing is no longer active due to system changes.

The best way to test the program is simply to download and try it out.

Well, never under-estimate the power of DOS, after all - many Windows versions still relied/rely upon a DOS framework underneath.

Note to other readers: Oz=Australia :) Have you looked at the "Tax Rates" option in POSCONFG? By setting up your rates there, specifying as 'included tax' they will print on your receipts. If in doubt - the manual has a full section under "TAX RATES", the manual is called REGISTER.TXT and came with...

CONNECT YOUR CASH DRAWER If it is the Epson TM-88 - then you connect the cash drawer to the rear of the printer as in this picture: http://www.fieldpine.com/help/images/tm88_ba...
