Dale did follow up on this and suggested that credit be split into two tenders (Credit / Debit). I believe it was a possibility for version 5.0 (POSNet). Here is the original thread from the archive: http://return.no-ip.org/n54/index4/1067185028.html <HR> Note: the Forum Archive can now be searched ...

As long as the terminal has the means for you to put DHPOS onto floppy disk and copy it onto the terminal's hard drive and run it - I don't see why not. However, other factors come into play such as what kind of printer/connection, keyboard etc come with this terminal. DHPOS is designed for running ...

You might find an open source project at http://www.sourceforge.net
Touch screen suport won't be in DHPOS anytime soon, and due to the fact that if DHPOS became open source - people would be able to find out how passwords and certain files are saved and alter/use this to their advantage.

Hi Melvyn, You can export the customer data (including total amount of sales , returns etc) into a data file, but it appears you cannot do the same with sales history. To export customer data: - Open POSCONFG, goto Customer Info and press [F4] to access the database - Press [3] for Export Files. - S...

It is common for DOS programs to function incorrectly or not at all on ME/XP due to the fact that DOS is no longer "real" in those OS'es. I would suggest if using this in a business situation that you don't use ME or XP, and go for something more simple such as 98/SE, 95 or even 3.1 or just plain ol...

Note to other readers: Oz=Australia :) Have you looked at the "Tax Rates" option in POSCONFG? By setting up your rates there, specifying as 'included tax' they will print on your receipts. If in doubt - the manual has a full section under "TAX RATES", the manual is called REGISTER.TXT and came with...
