Sometimes people list terminals running DHPOS on ebay, as long as they're selling the hardware and adding DHPOS for free, this is ok.

Also see http://keyhut.com/rprinter.htm for links to manufacturers who support DHPOS, I believe some have bundles.

Only if you are going to be using the server as a register also.

In the actual release version, if you do use the server as a register, I believe there will be an option to set to tell the machine it is the server.

Of course it would be fantastic, however it would also be a lot of work. Let us not forget that one man, is the programmer of this software, sure there are other systems out there with modules and this and that, but they have teams of people working on their code. Some portions of POSCONFG have alre...

Users Choice Why should Dale choose for the user? Well, he doesn't Eli, he listens to what they want and usually a feature gets put in if a large prportion of the user base request/need it. So, you see the users are choosing, whether you agree or not. Stock Table size On the stock table topic - aft...

Indeed, quite possible - if someone wants to write something to do this, they are more than welcome.

However, you would need to consult Dale on the dumping to file thing as we know he's a busy wee man :D

Eli, Plain and simple, Dale already told you the limitations are not imposed by himself or any of us. They are imposed by the programming language and DOS. We can work around some of these limitations by creating addon applications (ie APRINT, Payroll, STOCK), but the fact is - suggestions need to p...

a) so called "useless features" are sometimes crucial for some retailers I emphasise " some retailers", if a feature is suggested and supported by numerous people, then it may make it into the program. However, if it only affects a small portion of the user base, then it is less likely to be written...

What do you mean? DHPOS is already the best (perhaps only) truly FREE Point of Sale application. :D Date/Time Dependant Discounts The first feature you suggest, date/time dependant discounts is a great idea, however would take massive amounts of time and program space to implement. It is likely that...

What date are you entering for sales since? The date you enter is the earliest date for which you want to include sales in the totals. So when POS searches it uses the criteria: Include all sales from the date RIGHT NOW back to (the date you enter). So if you enter today's date, or a date in the fut...

Mmm, a good suggestion, but one that's been around for a while. You can already "park" sales (but not the amount that has been tendered) and return to them later, storing your layway information somewhere else. The customer accounts feature (I'm not sure of an ETA on this) could also do the same thi...

OK, this is the last time... :|

A beta version of POSnet is due on/before February 1st all going to plan.

I don't think it's fair to keep asking for progress either - everything's ready, except for the conversion of all the OPEN statements to open with shared access.

A signature is a bit of text that appears on the bottom of every post you make (mine contains my name and roles).

The user in question had an inappropriate signature which I edited as it was quite rude - hence you don't see what it said.

Thanks,
