smckane,

Thanks for the advice, but I try to leave BIOS alone as often as possible. It's really not severe enough for me to justify screwing my computer to the wall over a misplaced character. I'll try google.com, and post any articles that I find possibly useful to others.

Where the screen appears....

I don't know if I can speak for Isunw, but for me:

From the POS Main Menu, I select "8. Reports", enter the password, and then the 'list' pops up, instead of the PIN entry prompt. Everywhere else the PIN prompt comes up without any trouble.

Narasimha, Good luck with the conversion to the VAT system....I've never expierienced it first hand, but have heard from the folks in corperate accounting it can be a nightmare if you're not used to it. As far as both topics are concerned, it will ultimately come to Dale's opinion as to if/when this...

Andrew, Well, to answer both questions at once. It's a complete reverse. While using DHPOS if the NumLock is on, the program reacts as is if it's off. IE...2,4,8,6 act as arrows, 3 becomes pg down, ect..... Yet when I turn NumLock off, the program reacts as if it's on IE the numbers function as they...

What I think he means....

Dale, I noticed this the other day, but forgot to mention it. When you go to the report screen <option 8 from the main POS screen>, instead of asking for your PIN, it gives you the "choose associate" screen. <List form, like when you "choose the associate who rang the sale" during a refund>. I use v...

Customer Info on Returns...

Hey Dale,

Noticed that when you do a refund, the customer info doesn't display on the "void" screens. I use v6.31, and all the customer info fields are set to "Save Only". Is this supposed to happen?

Num Lock?

Hey Dale & Co... Maybe it's just my imagination, or my computer beeing a pain in the keister....but for some reason I've noticed that with v6.31 I have to turn my NumLock off in order for it to work in DHPOS. True, this isn't a big deal, but I just found it extreemly odd. Any ideas why? Anyone else ...

Yay! I have a best friend.....

Well, what a pleasure to know my opinion is held so highly. I as well participated in the poll...and am glad to finally see the threads take off like they once did. It's been many moons since we've had such discussion over a topic.

What about this?

I do like this idea, but what if we changed your format just slightly. Here's what I mean.... ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION TAX PIECES UNIT PRICE EXT.PRICE 815 DOUGHNUTS T1 5 @ 0.65 EA. 3.25 SUB TOTAL 3.25 TAX1 0.65 @ 7.500% 0.24 TOTAL TAX 0.24 TOTAL 3.49 --------------------------------------------------...

Well...

I like Andrew's idea of beeing able to retrieve the header/footer from global, and adjusting it locally if necessary. Does make sense, seeing as how you choose the settings for your printer locally (as far as 40/80 collums, page/continuous<sp?>, etc...). And leaving the coupons on the global folder,...
