Well if a mistake like that is made, and it needs to be rectified - then you would have to void the sale. However if the sale wasn't completed, I think you could just push cheque and set it as zero (untested). We do item voids etc, but it is extremely rare to have to void a whole transaction, like I...

If you made a mistake on a void or payout transaction - then you weren't very careful. Think about it - if you bugger up a void - which is supposedly to fix a prior mistake - you hav now made 2 stuff ups. Not very professional. Anyway - isn't it obvious? To reverse a void - you would just re-ring up...

Payroll 2.0 - Proposed Scheme of Work

Payroll is about to start receiving a major upgrade. Here's what's on the board for Payroll 2.0: MULTIPLE PAYRATES Up until now, you have only been able to store 1 payrate per employee. In Payroll 2.0 we hope to increase that to: - Ordinary rate - Time + 1/2 (ordinary x 1.5) - Double time (ordinary ...

Hi Yep, employee tills could possibly be balanced using the report for employee sales. As for manager over-ride, maybe the lock password could be the override - only managers/supervisors are to know the password if the PIN system is used. At work, we have supervisor keys which must be inserted in th...

Floating Cashiers

http://www.universalwirecloth.com/images/glz034w-F.gif Short version: I think the global folder should track who is logged on to whichever register, and possibly contain a feature to enable/disable logging on with the same ID on more than on register. Long version: At the supermarket I work at (unf...

Guest,

You need to map the drive so that Z (or whatever you want to use) is connected to your server path \\posnetserver\posnet

DHPOS can't access server paths directly, they must first be connected using a drive letter.

Barry, for auditing purposes, there must always be some way of identifying the register. If the employee feature is implemented where you would be able to see who is on which register, then you would need to see the register identifier also. The reason letters A-Z are used (or any ascii character as...

Ahh, you could try but I don't think so. See, DHPOS needs read and write access to the global folder, if this folder is on an FTP server, then normally we use an FTP client program to access files stored there don't we? Also, when you want to access a file from FTP to make changes, normlly you have ...

Yes, This is a BETA version, also the ability to have more than one employee logged on at once is not a bug, POSnet, just hasn't got the ability to restrict this from happening...yet. Remember...BETAs are installed at your own risk, and on a side note - Dale was ahead of schedule with the release. :D

You will find that your topic is being discussed in the POSnet - the concept topic. It is not a bug, POS just has no way of checking who is signed on which till at the moment, as that information is stored locally. Dale mentioned in his reply to Barry in the aforementioned topic that he may implemen...

Any register which is to be used as the server, will of course contain the global folder to store the global data (you run POSCONFG from this folder and set it as GLOBAL). If you are going to use it as a register too, you need another POS folder (run POSCONFG from this folder and set as LOCAL), from...

I don't quite get what you mean.

Do you want the global register to be unable to ring up sales?

If not, please clarify your question.
