Indexing
RollerBall, When you enter or leave the stock table function the program will reindex the stock table. When this happens you may notice that in the center of the screen the program will count down to zero. It does this really fast and it is hard to notice but that is when the stock table is being re...

Yep
Well I have not caught them in the sense that I could grab them and shake them, but I have found folks trying to sell DHPOS over the internet. Plus I also get requests all the time for a copy of the program that does not have my name on it and does not say that it is free. They have various reasons ...

Delay
ChrisKraus, I have added a half second time delay after posting the "Welcome to..." line to the program and this seems to have solved a couple of problems. It seems as though that after the "Welcome to..." line was posted to the POLE.DAT file that the employee line was then posted so quickly that th...

Not an accounting program
jake69, As I have pointed out many times before, this software is a cash register, not accounting software. The purpose of this software is, at the end of the day, to provide you with the information you will need to enter into your accounting software, or actual paper books. From your accounting so...

Closing
blkn38119, Do you mean that the POS program is minimizing or closing? If you mean minimizing then it sounds to me that this must be a Windows problem. DOS software predates Windows and therefore my POS software cannot even know that Windows even exists. So it has no idea if Windows is running it min...

Rounding
lemon535, Yep, that is just the way BASIC does floating point math. I can correct for that when calulating the money because I know the rounding factor you have set for currency, but the calculator does not know if you are doing math with money so I have to let the floating point rounding errror go ...

Scanners
While it is true that keyboard wedge scanners are your best bet, USB scanners are almost as likely to work. Serial scanners are a more iffy proposition but will probably work also although you may have to play system games to get them to function.

What?
Ok, so it rounds automatically if you pay by cash, or if you get cash back on credit and cash back on debit. And maybe if you pay by check. Or if you pay by both cash and credit with no cash back or maybe with cash back. Or by check and debit wiith no cash back or maybe with cash back. Or by cash an...
