Back from a trip to my local supermarket, and I noticed a new feature on the dockets. Some items had a $ before the name, then down the bottom it said '$ indicates items on sale' and 'By purchasing $ items, you saved: $xx.xx'

could you do this in dhpos?

Really, whatever is best for your use. you could do something like this:

• 100 - Chocloate
• 200 - Milk
• 300 - Bread

or if you're using a barcode scanner, you can just scan in the barcodes for stock numbers

or the TVSN (shopping) channel

if it's going to be PHP/MYSQL online then you are definately going to need some AJAX for the circulations screen.

I would use free software called Hamachi to do this.

Hamachi lets you setup a virtual network between you and 10 other computers over the internet.

You could do this, share a folder and the clients will connect through Hamachi and map the drive and DHPOS would use it.

I believe there is a PHP/MySQL pos system on sourceforge somewhere.

but this would have to be AJAX to work good.
