Same here... IBM products are the best. I used to have an old PC330 which I blew up by accident, and it was made in 1997 and I had it until 2003. It was only 122mHz and it was lightening fast.

I suppose you could just get a basic computer and accessories off of ebay or something like that!

IBM's last for almost forever, so that it the biggest plus point with them!

It is IBM's food service industry model. US Price: NEW FROM IBM $6,605.00 USED FROM EBAY $800.00 to $3,800.00. http://www.pc.ibm.com/sto...

It runs some of the less advanced features, but it dosent run APRINT, POLE.exe and any windows files, apart from posconfig, pos.exe and readme.txt.

Im doing a bit of testing to see what POS can do on other systems.

I dont really suppose anyone uses Linux anyway.

New POS idea

Ok,

How about a windows based version of POS. For example, have the same features, but with the modern Windows style.

Dos is a bit outdated now,

Just a thought

Hi Tim,

What kind of store do you run, and do you use an EPOS system? e.g. IBM SurePOS?

Just out of intrest.
