Re: Clock is not correct when returning from hibernation

Yeah, I thought the same thing about someone coming in late and changing the clock and figured this was a great feature too. However there is still the problem of selling time. If the puter goes to hibernate then none of the time during hibernation will be accounted for. ie customer plays pool for 3...

Re: Clock is not correct when returning from hibernation

Dale, I haven't seen this actual event with hibernate. However, I did find a quirky thing with DHPOS and the time/date that would make this hibernate thing a real problem. Way back in the 6.xx days I had some spare time in between biting my nails and contemplating my belly button and found myself wa...

Dale,
You bear and endure the pain, difficulty, provocation, and annoyance of COM ports and Serial Printer questions with such calmness.
You have the patients of a saint.
Bless you...

Re: Pertelian pole display Power Problem

oeb, If the display is plugged directly into a USB port on the back of the computer there shouldn't be a problem. What can be a problem is some external USB hubs do not provide their own power supply and the hub is not able to provide enough power for the display (The pertelian IS power hungry). I h...

Re: TAX Calculation Error with Coupon/Unit Reduction feature.

I don't know how you do it, dale.
Now every time I use "Coupon / unit reduction" I look down at the bottom of the screen and that [F7] is there taunting me to toggle the tax! Its crazy! Even if I try a quick glance away and back; it keeps showing up!

thx...

Re: Send Reports with AOL

Dale, The SMTP SERVER is: smtp.aol.com AOL help file says that the port needs to be 587 instead of the default port 25. I'm not sure how to test this with POS, however I was able to setup outlook express with my aol account and it worked with either the default port 25 or 587. If someone has an AOL ...

Re: Test version 7.04x

Yeaaa!! I agree with cwathen. Maintaining a manually changed description in the sale is a major improvement! And the same for the customer info showing on a re-print! Dale, I have a question. I use a similar method as cwathen to add notes to the sales slip. Is there a chance that a 'add note' featur...

Re: TAX Calculation Error with Coupon/Unit Reduction feature.

Dale, I'm currently using 6.40 (I have no need for timers, timeclocks, theater seat and such). Being a slow night at the house Ithought I'd DL ver 7.02 to give it a spin. It seems the latest version continues to have the same TAXing problem that I raised conserns about previously. My pos tax cofigur...

Re: PDA Stock Control/Labelling Software

I've combo the palm barcode scanner and excel to do alot of data collection followed by printing barcodes and other cool stuff dealing with inventory. However I am still holding my breath for the DHPOS Receiving program to be able to import external data files. Any way, check my response to this pos...

Re: Serial printers

OK I think Dale has made it very clear. If you want to run DHPOS with a serial printer your horse will die. No one likes a dead pony... Get a Parallel add-in card and be done with it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815166007 NewEgg has an add-in card for $14 dollars. Bu...

TAX Calculation Error with Coupon/Unit Reduction feature.

Hey Dale, There is an issue with sales that have a combination of non-taxable and taxable items and combined with the F9 "Coupon/Unit Reduction" feature. It causes a negative tax amount to be calculated. I've tried this with 6.39j through 640d1. My tax configuration is add tax at end of sale. I have...
