I give up !!!!!!!!!!!!! just not to be

Post by okiepc » Tue Nov 09, 2004 8:17 pm

After years ( I do mean years ) when time permits, I am finally able to open my cash drawer ( with help from a forum member), but at the exact same time my receipt printer quit working in POS.

Printer works fine in windows but when I bring up POS and open Aprint the printer starts then I get the Aprint illegal operation window?? and the printer stops.

I am using all the same hardware and software

Printer is set to File and cash drawer is set to com1
Printer is a Citizen IDP 3540, serial printer.

In pos config. under Program Printer, your printer is returning this code
127.

thats all, any help appreciated

thanks

giving up

If your occupation is repair work,
then I do not believe that you will give up.
Because I believe that you have learned
over and over and over that you can do
what you thought was impossible.

No, I will not give up, but at present I am considering my options. I think I will start over from square one.

Thanks for the reply

Is your cash drawer fired by the printer? If so, go to POSCONFIG and under "Open Cash Drawer" make the code sent to either "PRINTER" or "LPT1" depending on your version of POS. Then enter the code to fire your cash drawer. You can find a list of codes for some printers here.
