Lookup search by description.

Nope. The problem with customers looking up items by descriptions is that the customer would have to know the description you are using.

For example in my key shop we have A "BRASS KEY ONE SIDED" but if a customer looks for a "REGULAR KEY" he will not find it. We sell a "LANYARD KEY CHAIN" but a search for a "NECK STRAP KEY RING" will be unsuccessful.

OK then, what would happen if the customer just searched for "KEY"? Well in that case it would be found but you would have to step through about 2500 hits because it would find all descriptions that have the term "KEY" in it. It could take quite a while to find the one you want.

Actually, I was intending to use it for employees who need to look up prices.

LOOKUP.EXE was designed as a program to run on a customer terminal. If employees wish to lookup stock by other data fields, they can use POS.EXE and either search the stock table from within a sale or via the editor.
