INPORTENT: DHPOS Scam Phonecalls

Post by ChrisKraus » Sun Feb 08, 2004 11:15 am

I recently read about this "DHPOS Scam Phonecalls" case. It is kind of interesting because of a few things. First of all, where is this person getting phone numbers of the people who use DHPOS? Second of all, how is she asking people to pay her? Well, My guess is that you could ask this person for an address to "send a check to" and then you could get some information on where they are or, better yet, ask for the name of this so-called "salesperson" You could even ask for a phone number. Also, If you have Caller ID, that would help and if you don't, you can dial *69 and get the Phone number of the last person who called you (the Scammer).

But Even If we do catch the scammer, what could we do?
