64 Bit Version of POS

Post by compctech » Mon Mar 27, 2006 5:26 pm

I jsut upgraded my system to AMD 64 and 64 bit windows. Windows will not run POS at all without a VM or Emulator. I have compiled some other DOS programs to 64 bit and it works.

Will there be a 64 bit edition? I am willing to compile a 64 bit edtion.

compctech,

Nope. I have never heard of this 64 bit problem although I have heard of this problem http://keyhut.com/xperrors.htm Could that be your problem?

What version of Windows are you using? DHPOS works just fine under Windows version 3.1 to XP Pro

Here is a screen shots of the errors:

I also found out that it only comes with WoW32 not WoW16. I hope this helps.

I am working on trying to use VMware. Would you like an image when I complete the setup. Since VMware is now giving out VMware player for free I think this would be helpful.

Using a 64-bit operating system on a POS computer is crazy

(Please Note...

If this is your personal computer nevermind me) ;)

My Dad's Company Bought a 64-bit Machine 6 months ago and then found out that none of their developer tools would run on it, so they ended up returning this really nice computer.

Very few 64-bit PC's actually have the 64-bit version of Windows XP anyways. My PC is 64-bit but everything I have is 32bit.
