Quick questions: Deleting register / POS in multiple folders

Just 2 quick questions:

• 1) I have 2 register files in 1 POS files in C:/DHPOS folder. How can I safely delete 1?
  
  2) Is it alright to have 2 folders for POS files? Say 1 POS files at C:/DHPOS folder and the other at C:/DHPOS2 folder? There will be no conflict?

1. You cannot have two registers in one POS file. Each POS file represents one register. Please elaborate.

2. You can have POS in any folder you want, but the executable program files must be in the same directory in order for the program to recognize them.

1. There's an option to create a new register file as soon as you open the POS.exe. And I made two. And now, I want to delete one of them.

2. Complete POS files are in C:/DHPOS folder and another complete POS files in C:/DHPOS2 folder.

If you look in the directory where you created the reigster files that there are two seperate POS files. Delete all of the files that have the name of the register you want to delete from that directory.

You will be able to operate both of the POS sytems independently, but one will not recognize the other unless they are in the same directory.

The "Z" reading is incrememted by any register anywhere on the computer even if the register is run from a different folder, a different drive, or even from a removable drive like a floppy or a RAM drive. It cannot be reset, erased, or changed except by ringing up another transaction somewhere on the computer.

Other than that each different register file is self contained and anything done on one register will have no affect on any other register even if the other register is in the same folder as the first register. The only exception to this is if you network registers on the same computer then the register in the GLOBAL folder will also record sales rung up in the LOCAL register.

When you created a register you were asked to give it a file name like MYSTORE. All files that pertain to that register will then begin the filename MYSTORE. For example: MYSTORE.POS, MYSTORE.TBL, MYSTORE.IDX, MYSTORE.REC, etc. If you delete all the files that begin with MYSTORE then you will have completely deleted the register MYSTORE.

While you cannot have two registers in the same folder with the same name you can have two registers with the same name in different folders (which is how the network thingie works). In that case you will have to delete the files in both folders or only one folder if you want to keep one of the registers.
