The official Integrated Dhpos Server forum is up.
I also want to announce the first truely usable version
of IDS will be [e]mailed out friday! To receive a copy
in your inbox, go to the forum and sign up for an account.
I'm going to run a mass-email to all forum members to
distribute the version 2.1.
BTW, Dale, I am going to email you a copy so you can
test it and play around with it. I'll include instructions on how
to do it stand-alone.

Also, I am still in need of two or three forum admins/moderators
The only ones who qualify are those who are also admins/moderators
for DHPOS forum. That is the pre-requisite

Dylan,
Cool, do you have any idea what your program does? Is there a user's guide that will tell people what it does and how to get the program to do whatever it does?
Well...

Dale (and everyone else),
IDS is a program that more or less helps you, the store manager,
run the various operations of your store more efficiently. It includes tools
such as the manager communication system and the labor report
generator. IDS allows access to [almost] everything you need in order to
run a small retail store. As far as its interaction with DHPOS, it merely
allows you to access various dhpos programs. It also helps the new user
in DHPOS to do simple things like open the pos system and close it too.
New users may benifit from the interactive halp system, whereas pros
may benifit from features like Manager Comm, and Restore DHPOS from
backup.
Another thing that IDS does is automatically backs up the DHPOS system
after every close done through IDS. IDS can also track whether or not
you have completed tasks such as open the POS, check messages, etc.
I feel that the DHPOS community will benifit greatly from this peice of
software. It will help clean up that desktop of the 20 dhpos-related shortcuts and will allow you to spend much less time in the office.
Thanks, Tech
