hmm
funnily enough the instructions for POS state that Serial printers are not recommended and don't really work properly with POS.
The solution is to install the Windows drivers for the Star printer (Star Micronics) and use the Aprint application bundled with POS.
The new version of Aprint currently under development works perfectly with the Star TSP743 serial unit.

It works..
Hi!
It works... But..
Why do it takes around 30-40 sec to print a receipt. (very slow)
The printer is almost shaking.

Aha
Thats the problem with using Aprint, it uses a windows font instead of a printer font hence the delay!
The new version of Aprint under development seems to have fixed that problem - coming soon I believe!

New aprint
The new aprint should solve this problem... At present it works for the majority of users, so you might as well give it a try. Keep in mind this is a beta version, if you have any problems please report them back here and I will work to fix them as quickly as possible.
