Just wondering what's this POS.pif that you can see when you start the program. What does it do?

A .PIF file is a shortcut to the DHPOS .exe

PIF files are used by Windows to specify options used when starting programs. Yes, it is a shortcut to that program; but the shortcut is accessed every time you start that program while Windows is running. It doesn't matter if you run it through the Windows Explorer or a command prompt.

If you've set any custom options (i.e. POS starts maximized and closes automatically when it's done), then keep the file. Otherwise, it won't mess anything up to delete it.
