ASCII

Does ASCII even have Swedish Charcters in it? I thought it only had the Regular alphabet and some Charcters for making frames in it.

Patrick,

I am assuming that you have been able to enter the swedish characters into the program (either the stock table descriptions or on the receipts by using "Receipt language" in the POSCONFG.EXE program) and that they will not print on the printer.

Many receipt printers will not print the ASCII characters from 128 to 255, does yours? Can you print Swedish characters on your receipt printer by using other software?

Hi!

Other program is working with Swedish characters (windows programs).

Strange.. In the Star manual the character Ö got ascii code 92, but in your program is got ascii code 153.

Do you got any solution on this strange error?

Patrick,

153 is the ASCII code for "Ö". 92 is the ASCII code for "\"

So STAR is using a code for their printers that is not ASCII code.

Do you have the Windows printer drivers loaded for this printer? If so you may want to use the APRINT program that comes with POS to control sending printing info to your printer.
