I am in the process of setting up a mobile catering service.
I will have cash only accounts. And will be using this kick @##
POS program to track inventory and make change. I have a couple
of questions if nobody minds my ignorance

1. If there a single payment option why does the software require
(Upon sale) that you select the only option that is avaibol?

Example, I removed all forms of payment except cash and I
still need to select "CASH" as the form of payment. (extra keystroke)

2.I am using a laptop and need to conserve power. I was wondering
if the black and white option used less battery than the color option.

3. I need a portable receipt printer and was wondering if anybody could
recommend a battery powered printer that was compatible with this
software. I am using win98se as the O/S for my register

There are some made by conoen! If you are in a van you can get any printer and get a thing for the cegret lighter and use that! OR you can spand a lot of money on a Canon!

He's knows that their is an black and white option, he was asking if it would save power. Some laptops yes, it really depends on the breand and model of laptop, if you have a toshiba go into the console program and make a custom power profile that dosn't show your screen at full power and disbale cd burners, network ect (it will save power).

Sorry, was in a rush to the afl. I don't think it will be a great power saver. You could play around in Properties!

I have a client who works from his vehicle every day the whole day.

He uses a laptop with a standard inkjet A4 printer.
Everything is powered from the vehicle battery via an inverter which "inverts" the power from the 12 volt car battery to 220 volts needed by the equipments.

This works very well for him and he has never had any power problems.
