Another question from me - stock descriptions
Post

Hello (again)
OK I have the ability to change the description (when ringing up a sale) setting to "ON".
I have the problem though that say if I ring up Item number "4233245" which has the preset description of "miscellaneous".
I then change the description to "table lamp"
ok it come up on the screen as "table lamp" and it shows on the recipt as
"table lamp"
BUT.....
when i go into the voids, to lets say reprint the transaction, only "miscellaneous" is shown.
just thought i would mention it.

Yup, that's not a bug - DHPOS does not store the description in the sale file, so it prints on the receipt - then it's gone. The program stores the stock numbers in a sale, then uses those to lookup the description if you pull it up later via voids, for example.

That would double the size of the .REC file which is already 20 megabytes. And of course changing the format of the .REC file would mean that you would lose the sales currently in there.
