Does anyone know how a symbol LS5800 connect to the computer and will it work with DHPOS?

As stated in the manual and on the forum, DHPOS supports the following types of scanner connections:

- keyboard wedge
- keyboard wedge
- keyboard wedge

A quick Google search found the data sheet on Symbol's corporate website ( http://www.symbol.com/product.php?produ ... ta%20Sheet ) revealing several connection types (if buying new, you probably have a choice of connection type): BM 468X, 469X; RS-232; Synapse Keyboard Wedge; USB.

If you can find the magic word in that list of specs, you win a free POS program.

Scanners

While it is true that keyboard wedge scanners are your best bet, USB scanners are almost as likely to work. Serial scanners are a more iffy proposition but will probably work also although you may have to play system games to get them to function.
