Please Help on Printing Issue

Post by gabriel » Mon Mar 08, 2004 11:50 am

Hi,

I've tested DHPOS with EPSON TM-U220 Receipt Printer (with WinXP pro), and found that the columns do not line up.
About the only problem you will have when printing from DOS is if the columns do not line up. This is caused by using a font that is not fixed width. A "W" is wider than an "I". Changing your printer to a data processing mode or the default font to "Courier" or other fixed width font will solve this.
According to the above quotes, how do I change the printer to data processing mode? Or change the default font type to "Courier"?

Please help me, thank you.

Best Regards,
Gabriel

Hi Dale,

Could you please help me out?

I've tested DHPOS with EPSON TM-U220D Receipt Printer in WinME environment. I found that there is a problem in the printed receipt.

Here is the example.
This is a transaction with Item 1 with price tag $1.20

-pd---------------------------------
TRAN ASSOCIATE T
0069 1 ADMIN 12
-------------------------------------
ALEX
-------------------------------------
NO# Desc
1234567890123 Item 1
T 2 1.20 2
TOTAL 2
-------------------------------------
TIP 0
GRAND TOTAL 2
CASH TENDERED 2
CHANGE DUE 0

15-03-2004

The above receipt shows that the decimal places has been cut off.
So, what should I do to solve this problem.

Besides, at the first line, there is a "pd" letters, how can I remove it from the receipts? It is always be printed.

Please help me... Thank you very much.

Best Regards,
Gabriel

Do you have rounding turned on? This could be rounding the decimals off.

My printer (Citizen IDP3541) prints PD when it recovers from a power failure during the print job and starts the job again.

My DHPOS setting of rounding the decimals is .01

Here's the sample receipt.

Do you think is the problem of font type?
This is because when I do a test printing on the receipt printer, it prints 40 characters per row. But when I print the receipt from the DHPOS, it only prints 36 characters.

gabriel,

About the "pd" thing. Go to the "Open cash drawer" feature of the POSCONFG.EXE program and see if you have entered any codes to open the cash drawer and if you have is the first code 27? If everything there is blank go to the "Printer setup" feature and check the "cutter bar" codes.

Dale,

Yes, I've entered a series of numbers in the "Open cash drawer",
27 - 112 - 0 - 100 - 250 - 0.

Everything is blank in the "cutter bar" codes. The receipt printer I've chosen is not support cutter function.
