Well, here is the scoop. The server has been down now for about 5 days in total, unfortunatly, and it's (mostly) my fault. The following is a semi-technical explanation of the events that have unfolded over the past several days.
Thursday: After chatting in the POS chat room for a while, I was disconnected and could not get back in. I tried for a bit, but gave up, assuming that it was just a temporary outage.
Friday: Friday morning, I was still unable to get on to the server, so I sent a support request into the hosting company. Turns out the DNS record expired, but I was never notified. Basically, the email that DNS record has listed no longer exists, and this is why I was not notified

We renewed the DNS Friday night (someone remind me to do it again 2 years from Friday)
Saturday: Still not up, but expected... DNS takes up to 48 hours to renew.
Sunday: Still nothing. Sunday night I sent in yet another support request. 1 hour later the DNS came back, but it was pointing to an empty account on the hosts server. I was hoping this would fix itself, so I waited til about 1am before sending yet another support request.
Monday: Monday morning, the server was back up again. The email account tied to the domain has been updated, so this should never happen again... although I am sure I can find something else to mess up next time
Sorry for the inconvenience guys,
Jonathan Simpson,
Forum & Chat server administrator.
it can happen to any one

It can happen to anyone, as i said it can happen to anyone. It happened to me one year ago when i was working for a business selling car parts over the internet. I got a e-mail reminding me but i forgot again. I lot the company in total about $40,000 in 4 days and I lot more money for the same company over the web site not being backed up. for the 2 mess up i lost the company about $1,000,000.00. so my point is "IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE"

Jon,
No Apology necessary.
You guys do a great job as it is.
I actually thought I was banned for
making too many pointless posts.
But the point of this one is:
Thanks for the Forum!
