Hi guys
Does anyone know if this Devlin keyboard is compatible with DH POS? Anyone any experience with them??
There's a few on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0126473518
I'm guessing the keylock and card swipe are pretty useless, but should everything else work OK?
If not, can anyone recommend any other POS keyboards that work well?
Cheers
Paul

With some work you should be able to get that keyboard to work almost as well as a standard keyboard works with DHPOS now. So what would be the point?
With a standard keyboard you press [+] to total a sale. With the programmable keyboard you can program one of the keys to issue the same ASCII code as the [+] key so that pressing it would act just like pressing the [+] key and it would total the sale. Where are you ahead on that deal?
Some people think that if they have a "TOTAL" key on a programmable keyboard, and they press it, that the sale will be totaled even at times when pressing the [+] key will not work. WRONG! Since the "TOTAL" key will only simulate pressing the [+] key, pressing the "TOTAL" key will only work when pressing the [+] key would also work. This also applies to any other function key. If the regular function key will not work at a specific part of the program then the progammable key will also not work because it only simulates the regular function key.

DHPOS and Programable Keyboards
You can check out Cherry keyboards, I've been very happy with one of them for almost 2 years now.
