It has finally happened

I was walking through the local mall today and when I passed one of the jewelry stores something struck me as awfully familar.

So I scanned the shop again and when my eyes passed the cash register monitor I noticed that it was running my POS software.

Looking at it a couple of more times did not change anything.

So after giving this away for 6 years it has finally happened. I have seen a store that has absolutely no connection with myself that is running my POS software.

Neat-o.

peewee3ie,

I had thought of that. However this is a chain store and the people behind the counter are just employees. I know that if someone came into my keyshop and said that he had written the cash register software and wanted to ask me about it or take photos of my register I would feel very weird (what is he really up to?) and would probably call store security.

So I plan on leaving well enough alone.

I did think of that. you could write to the owner of the store and ask him/her if they would take a pic for your site

or

you could google the name of the store and then e-mail them. if they think it is not real they probley ask if you had e-mail them on your forum.

I saw POS running at an interstate gas station at Exit 20 off I-40 in Maggie Valley North Carolina. They are not using a scanner though.

That's great, although I do not think I will be randomly wandering past there in the next couple of days.

We could be starting a new national pasttime, DHPOS spotting.

I went into a small gas station a while back, and they were using DHPOS, I told my fiance I was proud of them, she asked me why and I told her that they were smart for using DHPOS...

It's a small world.

But you wouldn't want to have to paint it.

My Wife and I were walking in one of our local malls a short while back, and she noticed that one of the small "Cart Stores" was using it, I didnt mention that it was the 4th such cart using it I had seen that day. But when she said "Aren't they using your POS program" I did say that it was not my program I just use it. I had actualy seen it before I started using it for our concession stand. And as the school year starts up again and I am teaching new students how to use it I must say again "Thanks for a great program." It solves a lot of problems that we had before we started using it.
