Customer Search Fields

Just An Idea:
It would be nice if you could make the Customer Search Fields able to accept barcode entries. My idea of how you could do this is at first, from a list, select which field the Cashier wants to search by and have it ask for the Query and the ENTER key. This way, You could select "ID number" and scan a customer card's barcode.
