recently we upgraded to version 640a
two things happen and will cause at the end of day total figures is different to the amount in drawer.

1. scans the barcode of product and it will go straight to finalize the sale, open the cash drawer, but on printing, and no add up to final total. it results the amount in draw is bigger than figures total in the end of day paper.

2. happens 5-6 times a day: go to normal sales, after total, open the till, no printing docket, finish the sale. again it results the amount in draw is bigger than figures total in the end of day paper.

Is there anybody out there have similar situation happen?

It looks like no one else if having this problem and I am not really understanding it. Do you have any more details?

tow situations:
1. when hit the total "+" button, it ends the sale, doesn't give the change, just open the cash drawer, but no printing at all.
2. scan the product, it goes straight to the end of sale, open the drawer, no printing receipt.

if sale happens like that, the sale seems not been recorded, so result the amount of money is more than the amount printed after closed register at end of business day.

Anyway, i have restored back to 640 and it operates normally.

Does it happen every time, often, rarely?

If it does not happen every time is there any link between the times it does happen, like does it happen when the 5th item is rung up, the 11 item in the stock table is rung up, any item with a 21 character description, or any thing else?

When it does happen does the program die and is there some sort of error message?

Can you make it happen when you want it to? How?

2. program not die and no error message, not printing, not change. and ready for next sale.

Others details (such as any particular item etc..) I will go to check with girls, who actually operate in the shop. and more details, and i will report back to you.

No we can not make it happen on purpose. It just happens by itself.

Cos of amount different I had to restore back to v640 for business, it seems working perfectly.
