Suppressing the keypress beep

Post by mellowsg » Sat Dec 08, 2007 8:16 am

Hi, I am running POS v6.17 on WinXP Home Edition using a "network" of 3 registers (I am running them on the same notebook as I use POS for tracking receipts rather than at point of sale).

I have set Key Press Beep on POSConfig to OFF. However, I still get a loud beep when I press F3 in sale mode to enter a discount and when I save the journal file when closing the register. This happens even when I mute my notebook sound.

Would anyone know any other way to suppress the beep fully?

Many thanks in advance for the help!

Try downloading and installing the most current DHPOS version, and make sure that the beep sound option is OFF. After, make sure there isn't a program that will make your system beep when you press certain keys.
