VAT number

Dear Dale,

Its great to have the VAT number as an additional information on the receipt, the Austrian government even requires if I sell to companies, who want to get the VAT back. Unfortunately in Austria it works like this: VAT number has to be on the receipt, company customers (from Austria) pay including VAT and get the VAT back from the the tax authorities later.... so it does not work for us here in Europe (it is the same in all other countries in the European Union) to have no VAT on the receipt when putting a VAT number into the system. The only time no VAT is due is if we sell to a company customer from the EU, who is not from our home country.... stupid system isn't it?
