Print Bug?

Post by AussieAussie » Wed Apr 22, 2009 5:13 am

I have the program set up to print 2 receipts. When I go to print the receipts the three lines shown in the screen shot appear.
It happens on all three computers I have here. The 2200 varies according to what amount tendered is entered.
Everything still seems to work though.

Hi AussieAussie,

you need to download the new file again as this bug has been fix. I had the same problem and it has been reported and fix.

Just before youe extract the new one again do a backup just in case something goes wrong.

It worked with no problem for me when I extracted it.

AAAhhhh, thanks for that. Thought that I had the latest as mine was ver. 7.02. Confusing!
Just tried it and, yep, works fine.

Another one just reared it's ugly head.
If I tell it not to print the opening receipt, it opens the cash drawer. I close the drawer and then a minute or so later the cash drawer opens again.
Might be an issue if you move away from the register after opening. It would open up again and there is no one there.
Does not happen if you do print the opening receipt.

Do you have a cash drawer connected to the serial port?

Cash drawer is connected via Epson TM-T88III on parallel port.
It did not always do this, but I haven't needed to open the register without printing the receipt for a few months now.

Hi AussieAussie,

i am using the same verion as you in a shop I work in since dale fix the above and never had that happen. I am using windows 98 and printing direct to the LPT (parrell port) and works no problem

How do you have the dhpos set to print is it set to print direct to the printer or through aprint. also what version of windows are you using. one more thing what are the codes you put in to dhpos to open the cash drawer.

I will chech the code that I am using to open the one at work and post it here later.

Tony,
Using the following:-
Windows 98
Code sent to printer - 27, 112, 0, 25, 250, 0.
Printer ready code = 223

It actually happens about 10 seconds after the first opening, but ONLY if I choose not to print the opening receipt.

Both worked, but with the same problem.
Now it didn't happen every time!! I tried it about 40 times.
Sometimes there was a 7 second delay between openings, and others a 10 second delay. (with both your codes)
Sometimes there was only one opening straight away and other times there was only one opening with a 7-10 second delay.
Most of the time (35 out of 40) there was a double opening with a 7 to 10 second delay between them.
By delay, I mean from the time you hit the 'don't print'.

But it only happens when I ask it not to print the opening receipt. If I print the opening receipt it opens straight away and only once, every time.

Hi AussieAussie,

This is funny as I have the same setup as you.

Did you install windows software for your printer, if so delete it

I still hear a 'double click' on the drawer opening at start, but I'm happy.
Great support here.

Thanks.
