Change Display & Cash Drawer Open Time

I use DHPOS 6.37 and I have a modular cash drawer and a star sp500 reciept printer. I want the drawer to open while the change is displayed, which it does when I choose to print a recipet, but when i choose do not print a recipet it displays the menu, removing the change due display. How can I fix this?
Also, I was wondering if there is a way to get the cash drawer to opene after the payment amount is entered, before you choose a reciept option. How can I do this? Is there a way to change when the code is sent to the printer?
