I can't seem to find a way to show an itemized report for the current day (register session) - or, even better, a specific date. Like now, when I'd like to know how many waffles I've sold today (without going through each sale manually). I know I can get merchandise reports but that will show a total for the whole merchandise period (in my case the whole season).

You might want to reset the merchandise data daily to get a daily report and then use the "History" report for the season.
