Moving software to a new computer

If I copy the whole pos folder to a usb can i just paste it onto another computer without losing any saved data and functions?

Yes but if your on a network you might have to fix the path

Thank you for your reply. I have one computer set up now but could have more in the future. I am not even sure how to network...also my other computers would be at other locations. I wonder if just saving the whole folder to a usb would act as a backup as well?

your welcome yes you can you use the Backup option in Posconfig.exe to back up to a usb drive. then it will automatically back up when the register is closed
