POS version 7.1g released 10-20-11.
Moderators:daleadmin, Dale Harris, Alan, Andrew
Critical bug fix!
In all 7.1 versions prior to 7.1g, changing the "Lock register" password will randomly flip the program between 60 or 200 maximum lines per sale. Reported by Matt. Fixed in version 7.1g
After uploading this version you will have to retype the "Lock register" password in the POSCONFG.EXE program.
You have to do a full download since many program files are involved.

Re: POS version 7.1g released 10-20-11.
NEW FEATURE
You can now set a default line when searching for a customer in a sale. For example when the customer info screen pops up it asks for the phone number to search for a customer.
To do this go to the "Customer info" feature of the POSCONFG.EXE program. Use the arrow keys to highlight the information you want to make the default and press [F6]. An asterick [*] will appear to the left of the information line you picked.
This is version 7.1g2 and you can do a full download from the usual place http://keyhut.com/pos3.htm (Note the link will say version 7.1g)
Or you can download these 3 files http://dhpos.com/pos.exe http://dhpos.com/posconfg.exe http://dhpos.com/theater.exe
Only those files will be version 7.1g2 all the others will still be 7.1g

Re: POS version 7.1g released 10-20-11.
CB wandered into chat last night and proposed a new feature for the time clock. The problem was that the only way to see the total times for a time sheet was to either print it out or save it to a file and then open it using either a word processing or spreadsheet program.
CB's idea was to be able to press a key on a displayed time sheet to be able to see the total times on the screen. Good idea.
So I did this. Download http://dhpos.com/timeclok.exe (remember to make a backup of the current file first) and try it out. Report back here. This file will have the version number 7.1g2

Re: POS version 7.1g released 10-20-11.
More angst from CB.
He was in chat again last night (we need to do a better job of screening people there) and said that the new "totals" feature in the time clock program was working fine but that it did not work from the "correct punch" screen and that I should do something about that.
For a while I considered ignoring it to be what I wanted to do, but then I arrived at the thought that CB is correct so I fixed it. Here is the latest file http://dhpos.com/timecloc.exe It is version 7.1g3
Someone should test this and report back, probably CB.

I have a solution to the screening problem.
ask the following question when someone signs up with dhpos. if you will ask for features go away lol
that could help your problem

Re: POS version 7.1g released 10-20-11.
CB,
Well that's a plan. But you were supposed to report on version 7.1g3 of the time clock feature.

Re: POS version 7.1g released 10-20-11.
Make the “vendor stock number” the default method of entering items into a sale.
If you went to the “Vendor list” feature of the POSCONFG.EXE program and entered a number of lines to search, then when you went to a sale and the program asked you for a stock number, you could press [*] and the program would allow you to enter a “vendor stock number” instead of a regular stock number to enter an item into a sale.
You can still do this, but now if you go the “Vendor list” feature of the POSCONFG.EXE and are on the screen where you can enter the number of lines to search you can press [TAB] to make the “vendor stock number” the default method of entering items into a sale.
If you are using a scanner to read the vendor stock number you will want to go to the “Scanner” feature of the POSCONFG.EXE program and set it to “Always scanned” to prevent the program from asking you for the price and quantity.
While “vendor stock number” is the default method of entering items into a sale you will have to press [ESC] when the bottom line of the sales screen displays “[F1] = View table. [F5] = Clear # [ESC] = Cancel” to return to using the regular stock numbers to enter items into a sale. This will also allow you to use the function keys and press [+] to complete the sale. Press [*] to return to using the “vendor stock numbers”.
When you start a new sale the “vendor stock numbers” will again be the default.
You can test this feature by downloading these files http://dhpos.com/pos.exe http://dhpos.com/cf2.exe These files are version 7.1h

CB,
You have frozen me in place. I want to release this version but I can't until I address your stock table issue. I have been playing with the new "vendor stock number default" feature for 3 days now and I have not been able to damage stock table. How did you do it? Can it be reproduced? How?
