Transaction History

Post by glitzygirl » Fri Mar 02, 2012 5:45 am

Hi,
I've inhereted DHPOS from the previous owner of the unit I've rented out. It was the software I was going to use anyway. So, my question is how do I erase all sale transactions (not products/inventory as I have now set it all up) from the previous owner?
What happens is when I do the daily reports, it's ok, but when I do the monthly reports it brings up previous cash fund and cash in reg amounts in the report. And for clarity purposes I would like to erase old transactions so that they are never included by mistake in any report.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Monica.

Monica,

Please read this about filenames http://keyhut.com/faq.htm#filename

To nuke everything but your register settings and your stock table save
only the ???????.POS, ???????.TBL, and ??????.IDX files. The best way to do
this is to first close out the register using option "2. Close / print /
erase", when asked if you want to "Reset the merchandise data" answer "YES."
Now create a new folder and copy everything from your old folder to the new
folder. Now delete all the files that begin with the register filename from
the original folder except the ??????.POS, ???????.TBL, and ??????.IDX
files. If you delete a file you are not supposed to you can copy it from the
new folder back to the original folder.

Some things cannot be reset. You cannot reset the "Z" reading and you
cannot reset the transaction counter to zero.

REMEMBER TO MAKE THE BACKUP FOLDER FIRST!!!!
