Can you "sell" free tickets?

Post by Dukane » Sat Nov 05, 2022 10:30 am

How can I "sell" a free ticket? I have attempted to setup ticket sales, but I don't want to charge for the tickets. I just want to track the number of attendees who showed interest and issue a ticket for redemption on the night of the event.

When I go to sell the tickets, pressing A or 1 to choose a ticket to sell, the number of seats reserved does not increment. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Can anyone provide some suggestions?

Dukane,

Setting up the program to sell tickets is kind of complex and has many options.
I would need to know what you have done to help you.
But I am fairly sure that you can set the price for tickets to 0.00 and it will work.

Have you set up a venue for general or assigned seating?
Did you set up a matching stock number for for seats in the "ticket" feature and in the stock table?
Did you create an "Event?"

I created a theater and an event, but when I try to sell a ticket that has a $0 cost, the number of tickets sold does not increment. If I have another ticket that costs $1, that does increment the number of tickets sold.

That's odd
Is it general seating or assigned seating?
