tax and coupons

dear dale,

in relation to tax and coupons, the tax is being calculated incorrectly.
when you make a coupon discount, the tax is not removed and thus increasing the rate that someone pays:

Example:

Code: Select all

  +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
¦ Quant. Stock Description Amount Tax %¦Transaction:PURCHASE
--+--------------------------------------------------------+--------------------
 1¦ 1 ¦10115¦LUX BODYWASH INDULGE415M¦ 10.45¦ 0.000¦
 2¦ 1 ¦11415¦CRISCO OIL VEG BLENDED 7¦ 7.23¦ 0.000¦
 3¦ 1 ¦10350¦LILY PIZAZZ CUPS JUM 20P¦ 2.61¦10.000¦Sub Total: 63.65
 4¦ 1 ¦10580¦MOONDAH BROOK ESTATE CHA¦ 39.98¦10.000¦ Tax: 3.87
 5¦ 1 ¦10500¦ANSELL C****** XTRA PLEA¦ 7.25¦ 0.000¦ Total: 67.52
 6¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦
 7¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦
 8¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦
 9¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦
10¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦
11¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦
12¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ Press [+] to total.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total Items Without GST = $24.93 (Items 1,2,5)
Total Items With GST = $42.59 (Items 3,4)
GST SHOULD NOT BE MORE = $3.87 ($38.72 + $3.87 GST = $42.59)

If a coupon was used to reduce to 60.00, (a 7.52 coupon).
The tax would reduce as well, as a proportion of the discount.

So, a 7.52 discount from 67.52 is 11.137% overall for sale.

Therfore, the new totals will be then:-
Total Items Without GST = $22.15 ($24.93 * (1 - 0.11137)
Total Items With GST = $37.85 ($42.59 * (1 - 0.11137)
GST SHOULD NOT BE MORE = $3.44 ($34.41 + $3.44 GST = $37.85)

So, with this example, with a coupon discount, it is over the whole sale not just the total amount.
