if you remap a keyboard does it store the data or each key on on the keyboard. so if you remap A to 345234 it thinks thats what the key is or dose it send the letter to the computer and a program translates it into the number.
thanks in advance,

Programmable keyboards
peachey111213,
I have not actually done this but here is how I understand it. If you remap a standard keyboard through Windows or some other application then the keyboard still sends the normal signals to the computer and then the software intercepts the signal and translates it into the desired symbols.
However if you have a programmable keyboard, like those made by Preh, then the keyboard itself is reconfigured to transmit the desired symbols to the computer for each key press.
