Please Help!!!

Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help me? I got a posiflex cash drawer that connects to the serial port of my computer. The problem is that the software doesnt want to open the drawer (I know you dont guarantee it to open). If I had to get a receipt printer (even though i dont need one and wont be using it to print receipts) and connect it to the the cash drawer will that solve my problem. You guys know of any tested serial cash drawers i may be able to get in my country (I am from South Africa)Sorry if the ? is dumb I am new to all this. PS Thanx for the great softare Dale I love it!!
