How about a windows based version of POS. For example, have the same features, but with the modern Windows style.
Dos is a bit outdated now,

This has been raised several (hundred) times, and as Dale will no doubt point out, QBASIC (used to write DHPOS) is what he knows, and DOS works on a wide range of operating systems. Many of us really prefer the interface of a DOS program for POS applications anyway.
I have never found a windows based POS I liked using.
To learn a new language AND convert the program to windows would take an incredibly long period of time, and it's taken us a few years to get to this point.
