Clockout slips
at my work, which i cant disclose (legally) when we clock out, we get a clock out slips on the printer assigned to the register we are clocking out on.
When we break out, we dont get a slip; neither do we if we clock in.
Anywho, heres how we do it.
Hit TIME CLK on the reg.
a keypad pops up (touch screen)
type in your pin - say 53 or 657 (pins can be 1-5 digits)
if your a manager, or your name is "Protected" you are prompted
for a password (which is not echoed to the screen)
another box pops up
----------------------------------------------
|Clock in | Break Out | Clock Out | Exit |
----------------------------------------------
then you hit the appropriate button.
if you hit anything but clock out, the window dissapears and the action has
been performed
If you hit clock out, a clock out slip prints:
XXXXXXXXX Corp.
ADDRESS STORE #
**********************
CLOCK OUT SLIP
EMPL: MNGR:
Burke Schuster
07:00 - 15:00B
15:36 - 20:00
**********************
[end]
So, your name is in EMPL,
the currently logged-in manager's name is in MNGR
the B beside 15:00 shows that it was a break.
if you clock out and in more than once in a day, it may look like:
07:00 - 15:00B
15:36 - 20:00B
21:00 - 01:00
OR
07:00 - 15:00
15:36 - 20:00
21:00 - 01:00
I usually clock out for breaks, so mine looks like the bottom one.
the receipt uses any time you were on the clock from 3:00hrs one morning to 2:59 the next morning. So if you close, and get off at 1am, then your other time shows, insted of:
XX:XX - 01:00
on your las clock out slip.

I'm new to using POS but I set dos emulator to not allow alt+tab and alt+etc... combinations in the properties under the misc tab. BTW I'm using Win XP home.
