Some others I found (Free):

- ShopAssist Point of Sale System (http://users.iafrica.com/m/mw/mwivansm/- Unregistered version is free, but it has a nag screen on startup, not bad, score w/ nag screen is 8/10

- KaChing (http://www.simtel.net/product.php[id]56 ... simtel.net)- POS with basic features, prints reports, prints invoices, etc..., good for a small business, worth a try, score 7.5/10

- TinaPOS (http://tinapos.sourceforge.net/)- Open source, well updated, not bad for small businesses, designed for touch screens, but works with keyboard, score 8/10

Free POS Software

Post by POSitive Software Co. » Fri Nov 16, 2007 7:08 pm

POSitive Software Company now offers a version of POSitive for Windows that is free. POSitive for Windows, Basic Edition, Single User is a full working version, not a demo (and there are no "nag" screens). The software needs to be "unlocked" with special codes, which will be sent to you when you fill out the on-line registration form. Visit http://www.myfreepos.com to learn more and to download a copy.

POSitive For Windows is a point of sale (POS) software program with an impressive list of features that allow you to create invoices, layaways and purchase orders. You can also track inventory, generate purchase orders and print barcoded labels. PFW is also loaded with reports for inventory, sales, profit, taxes, customers and employees. PFW is also e-commerce ready!
