Possible Bug in History Reports

Post by chilewillie » Tue May 11, 2004 9:18 pm

I am getting an error whenever I attempt to access history reports using POS v 6.01 using the following sequence.

Select: REPORTS
POS: Enter Employee PIN Number
Enter: #####
POS: SALES - MERCHANDISE REPORTS
Select: History by Stock # or History by Category or History by Vendor
POS:How Many Months of History?
Enter:#
Select: Option 1 or option 2
POS: Calculating. One moment please.
POS: Bad record number in line 2 of module FILEINFO2 at address 13A3:9ACC Hit any key and return to system

I downloaded v 6.03 and tested it. It has the same problem. I am using POS over a network and both the local and global copies report the same error.

Nothing in the history

Post by Dale Harris » Tue May 11, 2004 11:10 pm

chilewillie,

I just tried this and the problem is that you have nothing in the the history file, at least the part of it you are trying to do the report with.

But even though, the program should just give you a blank report not die. So I have fixed it to do that.

I have uploaded the new file but did not change the version number because that would require me to do actual work. However if you download it correctly the date/time on the FILEINFO.EXE program file will be 05/11/04 10:55 pm

Works perfect now. Thanks for the quick fix.
