Trying to set employee passwords and instruction in posconfig.exe tells me to do this in POS.exe. However, I do not have a pos.exe.
Using 640. Unzipped and never had it. Tried to download another set, no joy for a pos.exe.
Is there a work around?

kojaks43,
Well that is pretty weird since POS.EXE is the main program file. It is the file that you use to actually ring up sales. What program file are you using to ring up sales?
Anyway, this link http://www.dhpos.com/pos.exe will download only the POS.EXE program file. Make sure that you download it into the folder that is holding your other Cash Register program files.
It is version 6.40a which only has a couple of bug fixes in it from version 6.40

Dale, I haven't gotten that far..."ring up sales" I am still trying to set things up.
Thanks for the link. I have a file called Tearoom.exe that I click to set stuff up.

Actually, I downloaded the zip file from the site. Unzipped it and did not have the POS.exe. I did have the POSCONFIG.exe I opened that and am plugging away trying to figure out what to do. Thankfully, I was able to disable the beeps early on. Everything else has been a struggle. Not because of the program, it is my lack of background with POS systems and retail in general.RollerBall wrote:![]()
Ahhh... I think someone has supplied kojaks with a system with DHPOS installed and changed the program name. Am I right?
If they did, to be fair they should also help to set the system up.
I wish I did have someone that helped set up the system!!
